QA Manager opportunity with a software company that has tripled in size!! Newton, MA

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and talented Quality Assurance Manager to join their growing team.

This person will be chartered to design and implement automation where practical.

They must be able to handle multiple work assignments, and work to requirements with the ability to complete tasks to deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other relevant discipline.
• 3+ years experience in validation of MIS systems, or web based applications.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Experienced using bug tracking systems, exposure to JIRA a plus.
• Familiarity with JUnit testing and related technologies, e.g. HttpUnit, Cactus
• Experience deploying and developing with automated UI testing tools
• Database experience with one or more of the following technologies:
o Experience with various large database vendors (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.)
o SQL
o JDBC
o Enterprise issues (scalability, failover, reliability, etc.)
o Database integration technologies
• Experience with various application servers (Tomcat, WebSphere, etc.)
• Ability and desire to dive in and learn exciting new technologies
• Any understanding or experience with the following a plus:
o Adobe Flex
o XML, XML Schema, and XSL
o Semantic web technologies (e.g. RDF, OWL, ontologies)
o Eclipse development environment

CruiseControl.NET Release Engineer - Waltham, MA

Our client is privately held and profitable medium size software company that has been in business for the last 10 years.

They have planned for continued growth both domestically and internationally.

This is an exciting opportunity for a 3-5 year Release Engineer to provide build packages for their award winning software product.

Responsibilities include:

§ Use and enhance existing build processes to generate testable product builds

§ Integrate product builds into automated test cycles

§ Generate Installable packages suitable for delivery to external groups and customers

§ Coordinate source control branch/merge to support these release cycles

§ Maintain build environments for multiple products and releases including VM-based build machines, build tools, and source code support.

Key Requirements


§ At leat 3 years experience as a Software Release Engineer on Microsoft platforms and environments (Windows Server, Visual Studio, .NET and/or COM, ASP.NET, SQL Server and IIS)

§ Two or more years experience with continuous integration build tools such as CruiseControl, MSBuild, ant/NAnt, maven

§ Administrator level experience with source control systems (Perforce, Subversion, StarTeam)

§ Programming experience with perl, command scripts, and batch files

§ Previous development of multi-component product installation packages using InstallShield

§ Experience with VMWare, MS Virtual PCs, and computer lab management

§ B.S., Computer Science or equivalent
