Java Developer/Designer

Position Requirements

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop both front and back-end components for web-based applications using Java technologies
• Work closely with internal resources to design technical solutions based on business and performance requirements
• Thorough testing at component and application level
• Candidates for this position must have at least four years of Java development experience


Technical Requirements:

• Strong Java web interface development skills - MVC patterns, Servlets, JSPs, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

• Experience developing server side processes in Java

• Database - Strong SQL development skills including an understanding of database access optimization, stored procedures, JDBC

• Familiarity with, and appreciation of, object oriented design and development techniques is a requirement

• Strong testing methodology

• Experience developing with Java Server Faces is a plus

• WebSphere Studio - Hands on experience with version 5 or Rational 6 is a plus. Other Java development environments are acceptable.
