Junior C# Developer/Application Support in Boston

A small privately held software company in Boston has an opportunity for a 1-2 year C#/VB/SQL Developer to work on application development and provide some product support to their client base.

They are looking for a highly motivated candidate experienced in and committed to the field of Technical Support. The candidate should be a team player with strong communication skills, experience in providing customer support and strong technical skills in the Microsoft platform including SQL Server, Visual Basic, and ASP. Aptitude to troubleshoot issues, identify workarounds and solutions, as well as juggle several tasks at a time is required.
The position includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting remotely and possibly onsite at client locations and providing clients with directions and assistance for their product related issues.

Responsibilities Include but not Limited to:

Performing functional, integration, performance, stress and load testing.
Reviewing/ inputting to user documentation
Reviewing/ inputting on DEV releases to QA
Assisting with builds when necessary
Assisting with customer beta tests as necessary
Working with development team to validate/ review requirements and functional specifications to create test cases and test plans.
Help code and generate hot fixes as need
Monitor support queue
Interact with clients in validating and proposing appropriate workarounds
Participate in support status meetings with clients
Skills & Experience:

The candidate must have 1-2 years experience in a technical support role with basic training in programming, computer systems and coding skills. Previous intern experience appreciated.
Strong problem solving skills
In terms of specific computer skills, one or more of the following:
Microsoft VB
Microsoft .NET
Microsoft C#
COM+
Microsoft ASP
MS SQL Server
Php / MySQL
Experience with data validation and white box testing beyond the GUI to validate and look at code
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Motivated by a fast-paced, team environment.
Ability to multitask and work on multiple complex tasks that come together under one deadline.
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.
