Principal Software QA - Boston or Burlington

Award winning, wireless industry leader has several QA opportunities in Boston and Burlington.

Responsibilities

Working within an Agile/Scrum development envornment, establish collaborative relationships with Scrummasters, Product Owners, and Scrum team members to ensure success of Programs, Releases and/or Sprint(s).
Adhering to an Agile/Scrum development environment, will analyze Product Requirements and Functional Specifications and design//create and execute test cases/scenarios.
Propose, design, develop and maintain internal tools/utilities for automating existing and future test suites/case/scenarios.
Engage in full software testing using a variety and a mix of manual and automated techniques.
Investigate viability/applicability of (open source) frameworks/tools targeted for increasing test efficiency/coverage.
Identify and isolate defects, create accurate, concise and reproducible bug reports and play an active role in triaging/verifying identified issues
Provide timely and informative test result updates to team. Provide resource/time estimates for all testing activities.

Required Experience/Skills

Overall, you must have strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills, as well as excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. The candidate must also be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced team environment, able to balance multiple responsibilities and adapt when priorities change.
Must have demonstrated proficiency working/testing within:

Agile/Scrum Product Development Environment(s)
Middleware Testing via CLI and/or API ( in the absence of U.I.)
Regression, Load, Stress, Performance, High Availability/Failover and Scalability test efforts
End to End (System Wide) Unix/Linux test environments
Must have demonstrated proficiency using/testing with:

XML ( XSLT, XPATH, XSD)
Scripting Languages ( Python, PL/SQL or Javascript)
Servlets, J2EE, Tomcat,
Databases ( Oracle) as well as ETL knowledge
Test Automation using open source and/or industry standard tools
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required along with 7-10 or more years QA experience including projects involving enterprise client/server software systems, preferably J2EE-based Unix/Linux environments
Demonstrated skills in integration, installation and large scale / multi-tier application testing
Solid understanding and promoter of quality assurance methodologies and best practices
Pluses

Experience in mobile technology industry (i.e. SMS/MMS, WAP, J2ME/BREW, etc) helpful
Experience with Unit test frameworks (e.g. JUnit/XMLUnit)
Experience with " Selenium" open source test automation tool
Mobile Market Ad Serving or Internet advertising knowledge
Experience with the provisioning/management of environments/applications
