Our client is looking for a highly motivated, talented enterprise application developer that is interested in contributing to the development of applications built on our platform. This individual must come from a position where they were accountable for delivery of software in a commercial environment. They must be able to handle multiple work assignments and work to requirements with the ability to complete tasks to deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years commercial Java software development experience
Good written and verbal communications skills
Proven experience as a software developer for a wide range of software applications
Extensive database experience
Experience with various large database vendors (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.)
SQL
JDBC
Enterprise issues (scalability, failover, reliability, etc.)
Database integration technologies
Good working experience with XML, XML Schema, and XSL
Good understanding of distributed J2EE web architectures and experience with various application servers (Tomcat, WebSphere, etc.)
UI Development – Adobe Flex/AJAX, ActionScript, JavaScript
Ability and desire to dive in and learn exciting new technologies
Bonus skills:
Flex frameworks (e.g cairngorm) experience
Web Services development / SOA experience
Declarative rules-based programming
Semantic web technologies (e.g. RDF, OWL, ontologies)
Experience with Eclipse development environment
Ability and desire to take on team leadership role
Successful candidates need to be dependable, accountable, self-motivated, innovative, and a team player
